Vegetable Bread is a healthy bread made with whole wheat flour grated and chopped vegetables and cheese. This Vegetable Whole Wheat Bread is perfect to eat fresh and warm. This bread is packed with carrots zucchini and beans, added cheese gives richness to the bread. This bread is healthy and nutritious too.


Preparation Time:20 min
Baking Time: 30 – 40 min
Proofing Time; 90 min
Total Time: 2 hrs

Ingredients:

  • Whole Wheat Flour 250 gm
  • Mixed Vegetables finely chopped or grated 150gm
  • (I used grated carrots, Zucchini, and finely chopped beans)
  • 1 and 1/2 Tespoon Yeast
  • 2 Tablespoon Oil
  • 2 Tablespoon Grated Cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame seed
  • Warm water as required to make a dough

Instructions:

  1. Mix Yeast sugar little warm water set aside for 10 Min. Let it bloom. Refer to Whole Wheat bread
  2. Mix all ingredients pour yeast mixture, mix well.
  3. Add warm water to make a soft dough.
  4. Add oil knead for 10 – 12 min make a ball, keep in an oiled bowl, cover with a cling, keep in a warm place till it doubles. It takes around 30 -40 Minutes.
  5. When doubles knead gently for 2-3 Minutes.
  6. Roll in a rectangle, roll tightly, place in a greased loaf tin of 7 inch
  7. Cover with a cling, place in a warm place till it doubles.
  8. Brush with whisk egg/milk, sprinkle sesame seeds.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 centigrade ,cover with foil bake for 20-25 Min.
  10. Take out tin remove foil and bake for 10 Min without foil.
  11. Once done allow to cool completely before slicing
