How to make rose-shaped stuffed buns?
Here I have made roses out of the bread dough. Rose-shape stuffed buns with a stuffing of your choice, look just amazing. Not only it looks beautiful but also is delicious to eat.
These rose stuffed buns are light fluffy soft and moist. They are a big hit at a party especially kids who love it.
The rose buns can be made with any bread dough and are perfect to serve with tea.
It is very easy to make these yummy buns.
Any bread recipe can be used to make the dough.
Though I have used whole wheat flour to make a dough, you can make it with wheat flour, refined flour (maida), or multigrain flour to make the bread dough.

How to make a simple whole wheat bread.?
Preparation Time: 20 min
Baking Time: 30 min
Proofing Time: 2 hrs
Total Time : 2 hrs 50 min
Ingredients
- Whole Wheat Flour 250 gm
- Dry Yeast 1 and ½ tsp
- Sugar 1 Tbsp
- Oil 2 Tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Milk for brushing
For the stuffing
- ½ cup finely chopped baby corn or mushroom or any vegetable / boiled mutton or chicken mince
- 1 onion finely chopped
- ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
- ½ tsp chili flakes
- 2 green chili finely chopped
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- 2 teaspoon oil
- Salt to taste
Method
- Combine yeast and sugar in a bowl add 1/4 cup lukewarm water cover and keep for 10 min till frothy.
- Combine flour yeast mix and salt and knead a soft dough using warm water.
- Then add oil and knead for 10 min again.
- Keep the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with cling keep in a warm place for 30 – 40 min till double.
- Meanwhile, prepare the stuffing. Heat oil in a pan add finely chopped onions and sauté till light pink, then add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute add all ingredients except coriander leaves mix cover, and cook for 5 minutes till the mixture is dry. Add coriander leaves mix, off the flame. Cool the mixture.
- Shape the dough in a round shape.
7.Then with a dough cutter cut into 6 parts.
8. From each part make 6 balls.
9. Roll out 3 – 4 inch circles or cut with a cutter from the 6 balls.
10. Then arrange the 6 circles half on top of each other as in the pic below.
11. Arrange the stuffing in the center as in pic below.
12. Roll from the first circle till the end.as in pic.
13. Flatten from one side and the rose shape bun is ready.
14. However, to make small rose buns, you can keep stuffing in 2 parts on 2 sides. Don’t keep it in the center as it will be cut from the center and roll.
15. Then cut the roll from the centre after step 12 see the pic below.
16. Cover and keep in a warm place till it doubles.
17. Finally, Brush with milk /butter/ whisk egg.
18. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees with both rods on for 15 minutes and with only the bottom rod on for 15 minutes.
19. Serve with schezwan chutney or green chutney.
