Honey Pepper Chicken

Honey Pepper Chicken is a healthy easy to cook tasty chicken. A combination of honey pepper and soya sauce gives the chicken a delicious flavor. The brilliant combination of black pepper, honey, and soya sauce creates a mouthwatering glaze without the processed sugars and artificial ingredients.
A very quick recipe to make. Not much hassle. Just mix the ingredients and marinate the chicken into it and cook on a slow flame. The Honey and pepper combination gives a very nice taste to the chicken. Do try this recipe and comments.
Preparation Time: 10 min
Cooking Time: 30 min
Marination Time : 2 hrs
Total Time: 2 hrs 40 min
Serves : 3
Ingredients:
- Chicken Drumsticks ½ Kg
- Pepper powder 1 Tablespoon
- Honey 2 Tablespoon
- Soya Sauce 2 Tablespoon
- Salt as per taste
- Butter 1 Tablespoon
- Sesame seeds and Spring onion for garnishing
Instructions:
- Wash chicken and drain out excess water.
- Put slits on pieces so the marinade can penetrate inside.
- Mix honey pepper soya sauce and salt with the chicken, mix properly so that each piece is coated with the marinade.
- Marinate for 2 hours.
- In a pan add butter , then chicken with marinade, cover, and cook on a slow flame till chicken is tender.
- Check and stir the chicken in between.
- If the chicken dries add a little water.
- If the marinade is too watery uncover the lid n let it thicken on high flame for a few mins.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onion and serve hot.
Note:
Increase or decrease the quantity of honey according to your taste. Soya sauce is on the salty side be careful while adding salt.

This is one of the smartest easy to cook recipes I have ever tried. The directions are on point!
Only addition I made on tasting the marinade was to add a little bit of red chilli powder to adjust it to my spice level. And a few drops of lemon in the garnishing also made it nice for us. This is my favorite Kharaas(savory dish) for now! 😊
