Fish Curry recipe is simple and quick to make. Simple delicious and flavourful this fish curry is easy and made with mustard seeds garlic onion tomatoes.

Here I have shown a simple recipe which can be prepared easily.
- Mix salt , red chilli powder , turmeric powder , coriander powder add lemon juice mix properly.
- This paste is rubbed on the fish. Marinate the fish for at least 30 min.
- In a pan add 1 tsp oil spread it add fish pieces and cook on both sides or it can be baked in an oven in a baking tray with 1 tsp oil or if you want you can fry it.
- Grind mustard seeds to a fine powder.
- In the same blender add garlic onion tomatoes and green chilies, grind to a fine paste.
- In a broad pan heat, oil mustard seeds let it splutter then add finely chopped curry leaves. Saute for a minute.
- Add ground masala saute .
- Saute the ground paste till the raw smell goes.
- Add 2 cups water and once it starts boiling, add fish pieces, shimmer on slow flame. Adjust the taste.

Ingredients
Fish Marination
- 500 gm fish
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp salt
For the curry - 1 medium-size Onion
- 1 medium-size tomato
- 2 tsp mustard seeds
- 10 – 12 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp fresh coconut powder
- 2 green chillies or more
- Few Curry leaves
- 2 cups of water
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
Method - Wash and clean the fish drain out excess water.
- Mix all the fish marination ingredients and rub it on the fish properly, marinate for 30 minutes.
- On a flat pan heat 1 tsp oil. Fry pieces on both sides for 5 minutes. You can also bake in an oven at 200 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes in a greased baking dish.
- Grind 1 and ½ tsp mustard seed to a fine powder. Then in the same blender grind onion tomato garlic green chillies to a fine paste.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add ½ tsp mustard seeds. After the mustard seeds splutter add curry leaves and the ground paste.
- Fry till the mixture turns fragrant and the raw smell has gone away.
- Add 2 cups of water mix and bring it to a boil.
- Blend coconut powder with little water in the mixer jar and add to the curry.
- Gently slide the fish and cook covered on a low flame.
- Let it cook for 5 min, till the fish pieces bulge a bit.
- Taste the curry and adjust the salt.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
- If desired garnish with coriander leaves.
