Chinese Chop

Chinese Chop is made with chicken vegetables and white sauce. Chicken is boiled and minced, vegetables are chopped and boiled a thick white sauce is prepared. All ingredients are mixed and shaped into cutlets which are then fried.
Simple, easy, and delicious these Chinese chop, are served as a snack or starter.
Preparation Time: 20 min
Cooking Time : 40 min
Total Time : 1 hr
Serves : 16 chop
Ingredients:
- Boneless Chicken 400 gm
- Carrot 200 gm
- French Beans 200 gm
- Shelled Peas 200gm
- White sauce 1 Cup
- White Pepper Powder 1 ½ Tablespoon
- Ginger Garlic Paste 2 Tablespoon
- Green Chillies 4
- Eggs 2
- Semolina ½ Cup
- Salt as per Taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- Make a thick white sauce, to the normal white sauce recipe add double the flour to make it thick. Cool it and keep in the fridge for 2 to 3 hours or more.
- Boil chicken with ginger garlic paste, green chili, and salt. Mince it or shred it finely.
- Grate Carrots.
- Chop French beans very finely and boil in very little water. After boiling drain out excess water and let it cool. Keep the liquid.
- Boil Peas by adding very little water. (use the liquid which is left after boiling french beans) Dry the excess water. Cool it
- Whisk eggs add salt and red chili powder.
- Mix vegetables chicken white sauce add white pepper powder salt. Mix properly. Divide the mixture into 16 to 18 portions and shape it into patties.
- If you find the mixture is very soft and you are not able to give it a shape, keep the batter in the fridge for around an hour. It will be easier to give it a shape.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Dip patties into the egg, and then coat with semolina and deep fry till golden brown.
- Serve hot with green chutney and schezwan sauce.
Note:
Instead of semolina, u can use bread crumbs for coating. It can shallow fried, or baked the patties in the oven if baking brush it with oil on both sides. It can be made with only chicken or vegetables also.
