Paan Icecream

Paan Icecream is made naturally by adding betel leaves ( Paan ) and gulkand (rose petals jam) aniseeds. This paan ice cream is made naturally with no artificial colours and flavours.

Preparation Time: 20 Min
Setting Time: 8 – 10 hours
Serves: 8

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1 Cup Milk Powder
  • 1 Cup Fresh Cream
  • ½ Cup Gulkand (Rose petals jam)
  • 7 Betel Leaves
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Aniseeds (Saunf)
  • 4 Dried Dates (Khareek)Deseeded and soaked in ¼ cup boiling milk for 40 – 60min.
  • 2 Small Mint Stick

Method

  1. Wash Betel leaves. Chop.
  2. Grind betel leaves dried dates aniseed in a mixer till a smooth paste is formed.
  3. In Milk add milk powder, gulkand, sugar, betel leaves paste, and Mint Stick and blend with a hand blender for 7-10 min till smooth.
  4. Add cream and blend for 1 min.
  5. Pour in ice-cream box and keep in freezer till half set.
  6. Remove from freezer blend once again, keep it to set in the freezer.
  7. Set in freezer. Serve garnished with gulkand and colorful sprinklers or colorful aniseed sweets.

Note:

Sugar quantity may increase or decrease on the amount of sweetness in gulkand,as different variety of gulkand varies in sweetness content.

    Congratulations , Great effort finally manifests , into a Fizzlicious feast.

    All the dishes look tempting and mouth watering . Trying to keep my tingling taste buds in control ,will be quite a daunting task.

    Looks like my better half , has a very busy week ahead .
