Mutton Cutlets

Mutton Cutlet is a delicious cutlet that can be served as a party starter or even for your kids after school snack. Kids love mutton cutlets, especially when served with tomato ketchup.

Mutton cutlets are simply delicious that are loved by foodies all over the world.An evergreen recipe of deep-fried mutton cutlets.

  1. Soak bread slices in water for 10 – 15 minutes, after 15 minutes press between the two palms to remove water from the bread.
  2. In mince, mutton add coriander powder, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, chilli flakes, salt, lemon juice, garam masala powder, bread slices, coriander leaves. Mix properly.

2.Give a smoky flavor to the mincemeat.

3.Let it marinate for 1 hour in the fridge.
4. After 1 hour mix in chopped mint leaves.
5. Take a ball of meat flatten it.

6. Sprinkle bread crumbs on the board keep the cutlets on it again sprinkle bread crumbs on the cutlets, with a knife put slits on it on both side of the cutlet.

7. Dip in egg and deep fry.

Serves: 7 – 8 Cutlets

RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 250 gm Mince Mutton (lamb)
  • 1 Tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 4 Green chilies made into a paste
  • 4 Slices Bread or 2 Bun Pav
  • 1 Tbsp coarsely ground coriander seeds
  • 1 Tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 1 Tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 Tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • Few Coriander Leaves
  • Few Mint Leaves
  • 2 Eggs
  • Salt to taste
  •  ½  Cup Bread Crumbs

Method

  • Soak bread slices in water for 15 min, after 15 minutes press between 2 palms to squeeze out excess water.
  • In mincemeat add coarsely ground coriander powder, crushed green chillies, ginger garlic paste, chilli flakes, garam masala powder, lemon juice, soaked bread, coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well.
  • Give a smoky flavour to the meat. Put burning coal in a small bowl and place the bowl in the mincemeat. Place cloves on the coal and drizzle 1 tbsp oil. Cover the pan tightly and let it remain for 15 – 20 minutes.
  • Keep in the fridge to marinate for an hour.
  • After an hour add mint leaves to the meat and mix properly with your hand.
  • Make balls of the meat according to the size of the cutlet you want and flatten them to give a cutlet shape.
  • On a board sprinkle little bread crumbs keep the flattened cutlet on the board again sprinkle bread crumbs on top of the cutlet.
  • Now with a knife put slits on the cutlet horizontally and vertically so that while frying the meat get cooks from inside.
  • Turn the cutlets sprinkle bread crumbs and put slits on the cutlets.
  • Put slits on both sides of the cutlet.
  • Prepare all the cutlets in the same manner.
  • In a broad pan heat oil.
  • In a bowl beat, 2 eggs add salt and chilli flakes and beat.
  • Dip the cutlets in an egg and deep fry on a medium flame till golden brown.
  • Turn and fry on the other side till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup and lemon wedges.
